The Castle Holiday Season Is In Full Swing!
Halloween tours! Christmas tours! Nemacolin castle is the place to be if you want to feel the chill of a well told ghost story in a dark, creaky hallway or the warmth of Christmases past in rooms accurately decorated to the period of the castle's heyday.
History is alive and well inside Nemacolin Castle, located just off Route 40 (Market St.) in Brownsville, PA. An historical landmark, tours of the castle and its spacious grounds are provided by enthusiastic volunteers throughout the year on most weekends (and weekdays by appointment only).
Currently, castle ghost tours are being held now through Halloween, with Christmas tours to follow soon after.
Christmas tours are the pride of the castle membership as each room is decorated by a member volunteer. Some rooms have been decorated by the same family or business sponsor for decades, providing tourists with a heartfelt replication of what it was like to celebrate the holidays in the 1700's.
